A Trip Back Home…

Bergen Photo Walks

Come September and the tourist season is more or less over in Bergen – no more cruise ships – so it was time to take a wee trip back home to Scotland for the annual hoolie.  In between going from one pub to another I inexplicably found myself on a bus heading north and, before I knew what was happening, there I was in Glencoe.

Being in one of Scotland’s most iconic spots I really just had to wander around for a few miles with my camera and enjoy being back in the homeland once more…

Here comes the rain…

Swollen burn and distant mountains…

Fleeting sunlight on the mountainsides…

Mountain panorama…

Autumn leaves and the iconic Buachaille Etive Mor…

Blue skies and a view along Glencoe…

A wee random hoose…

In the shadow of the mountain…

Blackrock Cottage and the Buachaille…

River and mountain…

  1. Worth coming home for…… Scotland takes a bit of beating and maybe just enjoys as much rain as Bergen! (though being honest its always been sunny when we have been in Bergen…maybe we were just lucky) 🙂

      1. Last time we were in Bergen we had lunch in the Hanseatic Quarter. Shared a table with a mother and her teenage daughter from Bergen. We asked if it was a school holiday…the mother replied … No but it is a rare sunny summers day for Bergen so we thought we would enjoy it! Rather says it all 🙂
