I first noticed this old tree ages ago but hadn’t got around to taking some shots until now. He certainly seems to be quite a character. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a tree with quite such convoluted architecture which is accentuated even more since there isn’t a leaf in sight…
Such a gnarled and twisted old tree at the edge of Nygårds Park.
Everywhere at once and back again.
The ends of the countless branches form a web in front of the trunk.
A last look at the heart of the tree.
Soon these branches will be stirring back to life.

Incredible tree and I want to shoot it – that would be the way to spend the day. Don’t know how close this is to you but have you thought of taking night shots doing light painting of the whole and of detail?
I only got a DSLR camera about three months ago so I’m a rank amateur. Still trying to figure out the camera so all that other fancy stuff’ll have to wait!!!! If you’re ever in Bergen I’ll show you where it is lol
That tree is a real character but I think you have a thing about trees as all your tree shots are special and have a lot of life in them.
Yeah, I dunno whatiti is about them, but I’m fascinated by them
